Happy great Sunday! I’ve been raving about the Etude House Play 101 Pencils for weeks now, but haven’t posted any FOTD featuring Play 101 pencils yet. Or any FOTD at all.

Lol! Anyways, today I want to share with you this simple makeup look that I’ve created using the Play 101 Pencils.

Simple Makeup Look

For the base makeup, I used non-Etude House products. Sorry! 😉 I applied Laneige BB Cushion SPF50+ PA+++ in No. 13 True Beige all over my face.

Then used NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard for my undereye area. Also used it to conceal my dark spots and blemishes, and also applied a little amount on my lips.

How to apply Etude House Play 101 Pencils in 9 easy steps

Now, on to the good part. From here on, it’s all Etude House Play 101 Pencils! 😀

Step 1

Use Play 101 Pencil 41 to carefully line and color the eye brows. Do a straighter line and avoid any arches. This helps in creating a younger appearance.

Step 2

For a fresh wash of color, use Play 101 Pencil 27 on the entire eye lid area. I forgot to mention in the photo above that I also lined the outer 2/3 of my lower lash line with the same pencil.

Step 3

Tightline the upper lash line using Play 101 Pencil 1. I just do a zigzag motion along the roots of my lashes.

Step 4

To further brighten the eye area, use Play 101 Pencil 8 along the waterline. It can also be used for the undereye area and as a concealer for blemishes and dark spots.

Step 5

Carefully curl the lashes and apply 2 coats of mascara or a great pair of false lashes. Oops! I forgot that I also used non-Etude House products for this part. 😉

Step 6

For more drama, apply Play 101 Pencil 28 along the inner 1/3 of the lower lash line and also near the tear duct area.

Step 7

Highlight the nose bridge, upper cheekbone area and chin using Play 101 Pencil 4.

For some color on the cheeks, use Play 101 Pencil 16. I used a little too much here because I wanted the color to really show up in the pictures. But you get the idea. 🙂

Step 8

My favorite part. The lips! Because I wanted to keep the look simple, I used Play 101 Pencil 25 on the entire lips instead of doing a gradation lip effect.

If you want to know more about how to do gradation lips, you may check out my simple tutorial (click here) on how to easily do it.

Final Thoughts

I know I look really garish and ghostly on the before pic. Especially because I had applied concealer on my lips. Even though this is just a simple makeup look, it still made my face appear alive. Lol!
